supercheesegirl: (holiday)
To anyone coming to the cookie party: check your email, there have been some revisions to the plans. I hope 5-7 dozen is a reasonable amount to ask for, especially since you'll be getting about that many to take home with you.

I'm so fucking glad they finally kicked Ann off Top Model. I loved how the judges were saying that they can't see America's Next Top Model in any of the girls standing in front of them, because gosh, if they had eliminated Ann like five girls ago they might've had some decent people left! As it is: I want Amanda to win, but it's going to be Yaya, I think. The VCR better not break down next week, that's all I have to say. And next semester, I'm not taking a Wednesday night class, so I'll be able to watch ANTM and tape Lost and stay caught up with both. That is, if Laur ever sends me the Lost eps that my mom's been taping for me. Hold on a sec. Okay, emailed.

I need to get going on the holiday cards. But I don't have near as many leftover from last year as I thought I did, so I need to get me down to Filene's to pick up a few boxes for cheap. I need to go to Downtown Crossing anyway, to hit B&N for Jorn's mom's gift, so it won't be a big deal.

Oh, for Saturday: Jorn sent me the link for the Bazaar Bizarre, and I'm so freakin' psyched. I'm hoping I can completely finish off my holiday shopping that day. So my plan for Saturday is now: 2pm, Darxus's for movies; 5:00ish, jet back to Central for the Bazaar Bizarre; 8pm, Farbs's for holiday cheer. Busy, but a good day, I think. I'm excited. And Sunday, I think we're going to catch a matinee of Mothra at the Brattle, and then I'm going to put up the holiday fake tree!

Well, I don't know for sure what time I'll be leaving Darxus's and getting there, so I don't want to make definite plans in case I end up being late. But I'm sure I'll see you there!

Okay, I looked at the map on the Bazaar Bizarre webpage, and it's actually hella easy. Get off the T in Central (take the main entrance instead of one of the little ones, just because it's easier to direct you from there). Walk up Mass Ave *away* from our house, *toward* Harvard Square. There's a Starbucks on the corner of Prospect Street--you should be passing this Starbucks on your right and then crossing Prospect Street. Walk one more block to Temple Street and make a right (if you get to the courthouse, you've gone too far). Apparently the YWCA will be on the left. I've never been there specifically but that's what it looks like on the map. Does that sound find-able?

Will Dann be around on Saturday? Maybe he'd walk you. Or Jorn, I know he's going.

have you ever seen a cat go into a paper bag? they really do, you know. and, they can't figure out how to get out. that's the way i am with directions. i can get back to the t from your apartment, but i can never get there- i blame this partly on dann, because he's so insistent on going different routes each time! (i like routine).

as far as him- i have absolutely no idea what he's up to. as i'm sure you can see he's in a pretty terrible mood, so i've been steerng clear for a bit. it would excellent if i could work something out with jorn, though.

(what's the head count for tuesday, anyway?). i'm looking forward to lugging my container of cookies on the t.

If you came above ground, would you know which way was toward Harvard, though? I'm trying to picture it in my head, and I feel like if you take the main exit from the stop and you're coming from downtown into Central, the exit will dump you right in front of the Starbucks, and you'll just walk forward to cross the street. That's what I think will happen. Otherwise, you have my cell number, right?

Head count for Tuesday is ten bakers and at least a few other people too. So do 5-7 dozen cookies if you can manage it. W00t!

i think i'll be bringing halley along (they i haven't asked her yet :P )

The Bizarre Bazaar! I dragged Dann to that last year when it was at the VFW in Davis, and we had to stand outside in line forEVER to get in. I'm so glad they've switched to a bigger venue. Any craft fair selling unmentionables adorned with silkscreened automatic weapons on the front is aces in my book.

The list of vendors is amazing. It looks so awesome. I'm psyched!

I too wish I could come. I've been watching cooking shows all week and it's been nothing but holiday cookies. I have about 6 new kinds to make now...
