The other day, Dyl was playing GTA in the morning before work, and right before I left he called me in to show me something. He was in the city subway station, looking at a movie poster on the wall that said "Pirates in Men's Pants: Get Ready for a Jolly Rogering". I near wet myself. As many things as there are that I don't like about this game (TATG), there are so many that are just hilarious.
This morning I saw a T musician I'd never seen before. When I got to the station, he was playing this really hauntingly beautiful love song. Of course, he was on the other side of the tracks from me, so giving him money or looking at his cds would have necessitated exiting the T, going aboveground, crossing the street, going down to the station on the other side and scanning my pass to get in there, and afterwards repeating the process to get back to where I needed to be to catch my train. And you never know when the next train's going to be, you know? So I didn't. But anyway, this guy. I really, really liked his stuff. Just nice poppy sorts of songs that you could tell were his own. He was maybe in his 20's, had a mustache and a soul patch but not a full goatee. Electric guitar, and his was the kind of guitar that doesn't mess around and just looks like a triangle and a stick, you know what I mean? Um, he was wearing a light blue sweater and black pants and a light blue and black winter hat (so I couldn't see his hair). I hope I spot him again sometime.
