supercheesegirl: (aladdin move the rug)
Happy 2nd Annual National Rug Moving Day, everyone!!!!

We realize that last year's National Rug Moving Day occurred in February, but since National Rug Moving Day is a holiday much like Ramadan, it can move freely about the year. Do not be troubled by its apparent irregularity, but rather, rejoice, as today is a day of celebration.

Rug Moving Day is a holiday that celebrates moving rugs--no fasting required! Any type of rug can be moved, from small throws or doormats up to room-sized area rugs if you're feeling ambitious. Just pick up a rug or two and move them to new locations in your home--if you really want to get into it, you should do this several times over the course of the day. Then smile and feel satisfied. Your rugs will too. They do like a change of scenery.

Cool. I guess I will be celebrating. I only have two rugs but they will be moved!

Hooray!

Last year we celebrated Rug Moving Day during a party at our house. Periodically throughout the evening we started yelling, "Time to move the rugs!" and ran around the house moving all the rugs. I have really great roommates.

Ahahaha! I misread which journal I was reading, Rox. That makes a whole lot more sense now. Hee.
