holiday post: sunday night, my mom's house

Hi all. I'm at my mom's house in PA, trying to type sideways over the cat in my lap. The holidays have been good to me so far. I got to see Jorn's family and spend some time with them, and then yesterday I spent all day in my pajamas laying around and reading. Today we went downtown to the UPenn anthropology museum to see an exhibit on royal tombs of Ur, and that was supercool. And I finally met my parents' new dog, Cliffy, and I'm totally in love with him. He's the sweetest thing ever, and for some reason he really likes me and will lick me when he licks no one else except my mom. So, holidays = good.

Before I forget, yesterday I read through two of my new christmas books: Tales of the Slayers Vol 2 and Piratica by Tanith Lee. The Amy should invest in both of these books because they are about (or include) an awesome pirate girl. Piratica was really fun.

I would love to read my f-list right now and catch up on everything all of you are doing, but my parents' computer is connected at 26.4 Kbps, so I bet it would take forever to load and forever to read and I really have to do some laundry, so I'll catch up when I get back. But everybody, I'm missing you and thinking of you, and hoping you're all having a wonderful holiday. *hug*

psst, dummy, I own it. Well, The Tales of the Slayers, one. ;) And the pirate story is probably the best one in that volume.

I read the whole Tales of the Slayers volume in a morning. The Buffy stories (and the Christmas story, ugh) were the least good, and the pirate one was one of the best.
