so i'm going on vacation soon. leaving saturday at 9:44am from the greensboro train station, pulling into philly at like 8:00pm, and then catching the next R5 to lansdale, where my ma will pick me up around 10. it'll be a long day on a train, but i'm going to pack books and music and snacks, and it'll be all good. and then, on sunday--off to vegas!
we are still all psyched about the vegas trip. lauren and i are going, and so is missi and her boyf mike--missi's dad is getting married there the following week, so she just extended her trip a little. and colleen is now coming too. colleen just got a new job in marketing, which will pay twice as much as her old job, so she's got money now, and she always was a big spender. laur and missi are both unemployed, and i'm might as well be for all the money i've got, so colleen just better not want to go shopping, because we're not spending our vegas vacation watching her try on shoes. and seriously, she's capable of trying on a lot of shoes. don't get me wrong, i'm glad she's coming with us because she's my buddy and i love her and we'll have a lot of fun, but she's already suggested we get dinner at the emeril restaurant, which costs like $60 just for a basic dinner. and there's no way we poor can swing that. laur and i hemmed and hawed about doing the dinner theater thing in our hotel, and that's dinner and a show for $40.
after vegas, i'm going on a road trip with my parents, which i'm excited about too. and i'll tell you all about it when i get back.
in other news, i'm playing ocarina of time for N64 again. i don't care that i've played it twice before, it's a phucking great game.

And I can totally realte to your Ocinra of Time replaying syndrome. I understand where you're arriving from. I've played Ultima IX some 5 or 6 times and I played Might & Magic VII over 30 times all the way through. When a game rocks, it just phucken rocks and it deserves to be played over and over.
I mean, just think how many times Jorn and I have played through Mega Man 2 on the NES. SO MANY TIMES YOU'LL SHIT YOUR PANTS!!!!1!

Date: 2002-07-18 08:00 pm (UTC)From:seriously, though. i've also played and replayed the kings quest games, and jorn has too--they're kind of kid-ish, and the animation is not spectacular in the older games, but they're still cool. it's all about the story, just like rereading a book. and i do that all the time too.
