I just finished Our Lady of the Forest, by David Guterson (the guy who wrote Snow Falling on Cedars, which I have not read). It was... really interesting and really sad. About a homeless runaway teenager living in the woods in Washington state who sees a vision of the Virgin Mary. It was good for me to read a book that explores Catholicism, I think. Definitely a worthwhile read, but I don't know if I'd recommend it.
