I'm thinking about getting this. Though I'm also still thinking about the Totoro shirt. But the valentine poem might be nice, since it's the holiday and all. And Jorn and I were just talking the other day about how all my base are belong to him.

that first shirt is awesome. and speaking of awesome, i went looking for the fort awesome you described in an earlier post. i wanted to see if someone took pictures. but here's what i found instead:

fort awesome
fortawesome
fort awesome

those are the best ones i found. i did an image search too, but i didn't turn up anything noteworthy that actually still existed. when i win the powerball, i'm going to build the ultimate fort awesome. and i really want to build it at the old falstaff brewery [pictures here - scroll down to "Plant 4 New Orleans"]. that is the coolest building in the entire city, which puts it in the running for coolest worldwide. yeah, totally awesome.

Those forts are pretty awesome! And I see you also play the "When I Win The Lottery" game--do you assign yourself arbitrary huge amounts and then plan exactly how you'll spend every dollar? I've spent many a road trip entertaining myself thusly.

i go by whatever amount is on the big billboards. right now it's $18 million. when i first moved here it was up to $230 million. it goes up and down, but it averages around $20-30 million. and yeah, today at lunch my coworkers and i decided we're going to buy the office space on the other side of our floor and turn the conference room into a jacuzzi bar, and put lounge chairs and a kegerator out by the elevators and have wild parties and come to "work" in button up shirts and shorts. it's going to be so awesome.

also, $230 million was almost too much. i didn't really know what to do with it all, so mostly i just told friends i'd pay them not to work and to come hang out with me all the time instead.

There *is* no too much. I can always find ways to spend it all. Lots of travel, lots of shoes, and a few charitable donations. Plus you've got to be practical and take care of your parents' retirement, your own retirement (which, since it'll start the day you win, is a big project), and the ivy league education of all your offspring.

Did you ever see the movie where the guy inherits millions of dollars but he has to waste it all completely and not have anything to show for it at the end of a certain time period, and he can't tell anyone he's doing it? That was a funny movie.

Do you ever actually buy the lottery ticket? I'm not sure how I'm going to win if I never actually buy one, but I figure all things are possible.
