jorn and i have been having a really good weekend. yesterday we went out shopping and got him a bedframe (for a good price, too!), so no more sleeping on the floor (as soon as we talk to sunshine or someone with a truck who can help us bring it home). we also went to the target and picked up my film, and now i have all my pics from vegas back! very exciting. i'll scan some this week, hopefully. we also got really good deals on cereal at the target, incidentally.
then we arrived back at my house and ate some leftover uno pizza for dinner, and then jorn went to do his radio show while i played ocarina of time at his place. i beat the fire temple and the water temple last night, and the water temple is a bitch and a half! i also got the biggeron sword, which is supercool and powerful.
today we slept in late, then watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail on jorn's new special edition dvd, which has some pretty cool special features. later on, i played ocarina of time some more and defeated the bottom-of-the-well section and the shadow temple. the shadow temple is my least-favorite one because it's all skeletons and death and stuff and it's pretty creepy. but the last temple is the spirit temple, and it's awesome--along with the forest temple, it's my favorite one. it's all indiana jones and shit b/c it's in the desert.
it's been a really good weekend. so good i almost don't mind getting up early tomorrow morning so i can have the car over to the mechanic at 7:45am. the steering wheel has been creaking when i turn, and even just when i go over bumps. not squealing or screeching, mind you, just creaking, like a floorboard. it hasn't affected the control of the car at all, but i want to get it checked out anyway just in case. my dad thinks it's probably just low on power steering fluid or something, so hopefully this mechanic visit won't cost a phortune.
my work schedule for this week: T 3-7 plus a teacher mtg at 7pm, W 4:30-6:30, Th 8-12. i'm also on the schedule for saturday morning 10-12, but i need to worm my way out of that because i already scheduled myself at blandwood this weekend, and that's 11-2 on saturday, and i need to get there a bit early besides. i was sure i had written this on the HLC schedule calendar, but knowing me i probably forgot. hopefully thad will not tease me too much or be all put out by my needing to switch. i hate it that i seem to have a schedule conflict every single week.
currently reading: The Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again, by David Foster Wallace. nonfiction essays. really, really good.
also, i did the dishes tonight.
