Got BFF's Whatever & Ever remastered version in the mail yesterday--the bonus tracks are good. I had hunted most of them down on other releases, but it's good to have them all together.
My prof approached me last night and we made plans to meet after work today.
I signed up at the last minute for a free Harvard-offered lunch class that meets today, on budgeting and good credit and stuff. I need to get going in a minute. I didn't even know they offered things like this, but I perused their listings and found a bunch of other things I'd like to go to. It's ridiculous but I'm already paranoid about retirement. Gotta get my 401k or whatever in gear.
I also canceled on the NARAL volunteering I was supposed to do after work today--I was going to be handing out information on emergency contraception in JP. Just don't have the time. After talking to prof, I need to go to the grocery store, tidy up the house, get things ready for my parents to get here tomorrow. Also I need to get to bed EARLY. Last night I stayed up late talking to Dyl and then playing MarioKart DD with Jorn (after I'd stayed home from going to a movie with him because I was so tired, and then of course Jorn said the movie turned out to be great).
I'm really excited about my parents visiting. I'm going to have a little dinner party for them tomorrow--same food, mostly, as at my big dinner party last month, but just for them. I'm going to make the same amount of crockpot chocolate cake, though, becausenow that I've mentioned it Sara(h) will conveniently "drop by" to have some I don't have a smaller crockpot and it wouldn't work in the big one in smaller proportions. I don't think we'll have a problem eating chocolate cake, quite honestly. And I'm going to get IMAX tickets (we'll probably see Sharks 3D, which will be playing at the aquarium this weekend), and we might go to the Sam Adams brewery (remind me to look that up!!) or to the Gropius House or to the Isabella Gardner. And also play board games and just hang out. I kind of like my parents.

Good for you!

Date: 2005-03-23 05:05 pm (UTC)From:It sounds like you've got great plans for your parents. I -love- the Gropius house, love love love it. I spent the entire tour thinking to myself, "OMG MY BARE FEET ARE TOUCHING THE FLOOR WHERE WALTER'S BARE FEET ONCE WALKED." Because they make you take off your shoes. If you're out that way and haven't been yet, the DeCordova Museum is another great Lincoln attraction.
