In case you hadn't heard, Jorn cut off all his hair. He looks cute but it's like having a whole new boyfriend. Anyway, he was planning on sending his foot-long ponytail to Locks of Love, but I remembered an lj-conversation (with Kat, maybe?) where someone had posted some links about how they're shady in some financial way and there was something wrong with their annual report? But it's not on snopes and I can't remember when or in whose journal this was. Help?

Date: 2005-04-06 05:38 pm (UTC)From:Also, according to the Better Business Bureau, Locks of Love didn't comply with their requirements for a charity, which involve showing their accounting books when asked and getting audited and stuff. Which one would think is a reasonable thing for a charity to do, so why wouldn't they? It's true that the BBB hasn't updated that page in a long time, and I haven't been able to find a whole lot of official information on LoL's practices, but there are so many rumors that it seems like there might be at least some truth to it.
