Well, y'all already know what I did with my Sunday. Sigh. Friday night Jorn and I had a Teh Sexay Date! We went to the IMAX at the Museum of Science to see Mysteries of the Nile. It was so freakin' cool! I don't think I'd seen anything there before. The screen is gigantic and curved, so you're totally enveloped in the movie. I felt a little nauseated during the scenes with the rapids, and also when we were flying in a helicopter and zooming over the river. Otherwise it was totally cool.

After the movie, we walked over to the mall for to get some cheesecake. The Factory had a 45-60 minute wait, so we took a buzzer and walked around. Suncoast had some good stuff--Jorn got two Inuyasha action figures (Sesshomaru and Kikyo) and some other things, and I got the season 4 Willow figure! And she was only $4.00!! So all y'all Buffy fans, go to the Suncoast near you and see if they've got her, because no matter what the price tag says, she's been there a while and she is on sale. They also had schoolgirl Darla and Willow/Tara/Ms. Kitty F, which I considered getting but decided I didn't really need. I also picked up a copy of Life With Father, a movie that I've seen a bunch of times but didn't own, and it was only $5.99. \m/ Next we hit KB Toys. Jorn was thrilled to find all the Boobah (Boobahs? How do you pluralize that?) on sale, so he has now officially caught them all. I became entranced by the Yoda beanie and had to get him.

Pretty soon after that our cheesecake beeper beeped, so we went back to the restaurant and got seated and pigged out. We were hungry enough for more than cheesecake, but didn't want entrees because they're so huge there, so instead we got three appetizers and discovered our eyes were way too big for our stomachs. Yum, though. And I had some cheesecake left over to take home, too. When we got back to the MoS (where we'd left the car) I nearly got run over by a fire engine! Everyone in the museum was out on the lawn. We didn't know what was going on, but we couldn't get our car out of the parking garage because the parking garage kiosk is in the actual museum instead of a drive-up thing, so in order to pay we had to go inside and no one could go inside. Eventually the security guard, who clearly had no idea what to do in this situation, just started letting people leave. So we just left. I didn't have a problem paying for the parking but it was awfully nice not to have to.

Saturday I was Otis House. I gave three tours and Honey also gave three tours, and we had a trainee with us too, so she shadowed my tour and then we closed up the house together, so she knows how that works and that we don't actually keep bodies in the dungeon or anything. Just archives. Saturday night I met up with Heather and Amy and went to Maddie's Toys Without Boys party, which was hella fun. Of course I made purchases. Of course I spent too much money. Of course I want to host my own party now, which might have to wait until I have my own place because of the maleness of the majority of my roommates. Oh well.

And that brings me to my last point: welcoming [livejournal.com profile] birdmaddgirl to my journal. I should have friended you a while ago, I think, but now that we've swordfaught with large blue vibrating dildos and licked each other with a battery-powered tongue, I kinda feel like we've bonded. :)

It was an excellent weekend, except for the headache and sorrow I got after watching Angel all day Sunday. But maybe you haven't gotten to that post in your f-list yet. :)

hosting a party

I volunteer my apartment for hosting a party - i don't think i have enough people to invite, but co-hosting between you & i? we could have it MADE in the shade. We could split the earnings or something. And make a giant cake in your man-shaped pan. Serve penis pasta salad. More whoopee pies and donut holes. I have FAR too much fun with this. :-)

OMG. If we made a cake in the man-shaped pan, we could have SO MUCH FUN with decorative icing. I think it would hella fun if you and I planned this thing together. Wow.

(I was thinking I'd wait and have my own party, and get you to present for it, but I bet if you start doing this you won't lack for customers!)

..i'm still debating the whole 'becoming a consultant' thing. It's SO very tempting, but i have many a question about it. I'll probably have lunch with anna at some point. The funny thing is, the most frightening thing at the moment for me is doing my taxes as an independent contractor!

In the meantime, though, i'm ALL FOR planning one with you for, maybe, June? we could have much fun with it... what do you think?

Well, at least you wouldn't have to worry about the taxes thing until *next* spring. And who knows--maybe the business itself takes taxes out of your check? Something to ask Anna about, at least.

I'm all about having one, baby.

I'm surprised Jorn would even come near me after the party, considering how I reeked of so many different substances...

i couldn't take the scent assault, i showered when i got home. The clincher was when max wouldn't leave me alone and had to sniff every inch of my head and arms.
