I don't think I'd go that far. They have a certain charm in that they're evoking the spirit of the seldom-heard-anymore more-than-half-a-century-old blues style in indie rock form. There's something about what they do that sounds original, yet totally familiar. My problem is that their songs aren't always written that well. But as far as their sound goes, I like it. So when they get better songs, I might sign on for a cd.
But I can't deny "Seven Nation Army"; the riff is SO CATCHY. It's unreal. That's the one that makes everybody TATG.
Okay, I just listened to "Seven Nation Army", and it was decent. The riff is really catchy. But I wasn't impressed *at all* by the rest of the album, and a few times I caught myself thinking "God, shut up already!" And I don't want to feel like that when I'm listening to a band, you know?
