Narnia trailer

I just watched the trailer for the new Narnia movie. I got all teary when they showed Cair Parival (I know I spelled it wrong). And then I stayed teary for the rest of the trailer. And then I watched it again. And got teary a second time. I wrote the freakin' date in my calendar already. It looks like they did a really good job. Peter and Susan look right, and Lucy looks okay. We didn't get much look at Edmund. Gah it looks good.

But it does look excellent, and I loved the medieval-ish music they used in the ad.

Hey, spotted you thru friendsfriends and I just wanted to say I'm ever so glad. I was pretty unenthusiastic about the film (films have spoiled one too many of the books I love) but after seeing this trailer, 9th December cannot come fast enough. I'm speechless...

Also, was it just me, or did the begining seem to be quite dark? Not sure what it was, it might have been the music.

I know, I'm creaming my jeans over here. The beginning was a bit dark, but when I thought back on the book it seemed appropriate--big creepy house, and they didn't *know* yet that the professor was a Narnia veteran himself and an all-around good guy. Overall it looks from this preview like they did a pretty good job of adapting it. It's nice what a good job moviemakers are doing with the books we love these days (LotR, HP3, etc)--I hope they keep it up.
