supercheesegirl: (michelle trachtenberg - terrible mess)
Okay, I really want to go to the Buffy sing-a-long at the Coolidge Theater tomorrow night. But it's at midnight, and while I could get there on the T I couldn't get home that way. And I am not a good city driver. Also the person I was going to go with can't go anymore, so I'd be going by myself. I guess partly I'm thinking, how by myself would I be in a crowd of Buffy enthusiasts? But I hate being by myself in a crowd of any kind of people. This is why I'd rather eat lunch alone in my office rather than alone in a cafeteria. So as sad as it makes me, maybe it's just not worth it to go? If I'd have to drive and have to go alone? It would break my little heart not to go, but it could possibly be more trouble than it's worth.

I guess what I'm looking for here is someone, or several someones, to leap up and shout, I'd love to go with you, Rox! But I don't know who that someone would be.

::edit:: I don't mind city driving as much when I know where I'm going, or if I have someone with me who can tell me where I'm going. I'm not familiar with Brookline at all, so the idea of driving to the Coolidge is intimidating, but it would be less so with a companion.

I wish i knew someone who was going, my dear, or we weren't leaving at the buttcrack of dawn on Saturday - i would go with you even though i've never seen a day of buffy in my life. I hope you find someone to go with you!
:-)

You are too darling. Thanks for the offer, though! :) :)

I'd love to go with you, Rox!

But I'm not sure if I can... I'm trying to find that out.

I am, however, very familiar with Coolidge Corner, and enthusiastic about Buffy, and actually posessed of one of the shirts she wears in that episode.

speaking of tonight, dork, reply to my e-mail about sandwiches!!!!!!!

WHAT email about sandwiches, dork? Most recent email I got from you said "we are talking about bringing food and meeting there at 6:30", and that's the closest to "sandwiches" you got. :)
I am going to pick up deli-type sandwiches for Darxus and myself, and am totally cool picking up sandwiches for both of you as well. So let me know what you want. Turkey, Ham, Rost beef, Cheese, what type of cheese, lettus, tomato, onion, mustard, mayo, etc. Also, choice of white, wheat, sub-style, etc. probably. I still haven't figured out where exactly i'm doing this (possibly the place i use to get sandwiches from on charles street when i was at Emerson. really really nummy) so some flexability is appreciated. So tell me what you would/wouldn't like. or if you will bring somethign yourself.

that was sent around 12:30 today
It was not sent to me. I would have responded right away.

I like turkey, cheese (doesn't matter what kind), and italian sub-style sandwiches if they have those (can't remember what's on it, but it tastes good). I'll eat white or wheat. I like mustard. If it's a sub I'd do oil and onions but no other veggies. I am not much of a veggie person.

I was thinking of stopping for munchie-type snacks, or bagels. Preferences?

:( I'm really sorry I had such a huge brainfreeze when I booked these tickets. I'm sad about missing the singalong and even sadder that you might not go. A cab from Coolidge to Central Square at 2am is only about 10-14 bucks including tip - I just did that three weeks ago, the streets were deserted and it took no more than 15 minutes. There are also a ton of cabs to hail on that street - you can just cross the street in front of the theater (as that is the direction you'll want to go, down toward Harvard Street) and you're all set.

theyve done the buffy singalong here at the cool Austin movietheater a couple of times. and i have always thought about you. wished that they would do it at some theater in Boston. im happy to know that you do have the opportunity to see it.... so did you go?

Nah, didn't go... we were scared off by the reports that they weren't going to start selling tickets till 11pm. I found out later that a friend of mine had no problem buying a ticket at 10pm, so the theater was clearly being inconsistent with what they told people. Jerks. I ended up going to a friend's house and watching the musical just with her and her roommates, so it was still fun.
