I went through and made a list of all the cds I own. It took a while but not as long as it would take for Jorn. Including all the two-disc sets and the cdrs, I have 200 cds. That's the most I've ever had.

I don't have a problem counting the cdrs because most of them are copies of things my parents have and I listen to it more than they do.

Overall I think I have some pretty good stuff. A lot of remnants from my free-spirited college days (DMB and Phish, notably) and a lot of chicks with guitars, and some abysmal girly ridiculous crap (Dirty Dancing, Titanic, J. Lo, t.A.T.u), but on the whole I'm pretty pleased with my collection.

The Chieftains, Enya, Loreena, Muppets!, Yanni, James Taylor, Simon and Garfunkel . . . and some soundtracks. Neato.

And hey, Titanic may not be James Horner's best work but it is an excellent soundtrack (g). Of course this is coming from a woman who went to see the film just to watch the ship break apart. I love hardware (g).

I think I can be forgiven my love for Titanic because it came out when I was 18. It was just the right movie for me at that age. My best memory of the soundtrack is this: I went to bed at a fairly decent hour while my roommate stayed up late to work on a paper. I never minded her having music on while I was sleeping, but this particular night she put on the Titanic soundtrack. The beginning is all soothing and peaceful so I dozed right off, but then the boat hit the iceberg and woke me up! I think I hit my head on the top bunk I sat up so fast. We didn't listen to that one at night anymore after that.
