So far, they're pretty good. However, this does not make any more appealing the fact that I am forced to menstruate while dealing with the most comprehensive sunburn I've had in years. There are certain times in a woman's life when she basically must wear underwear, and certain times when underwear is the last thing she wants to be wearing. It is a cruel, cruel thing when those certain times occur simultaneously.

Have you tried Insteads? They're a round plastic ring with a baggie that fits over your cervix and can hold quite a bit more blood than a tampon and you can keep them in for twice as long. They're disposable and come in a pack of 14.

And then of course, I could pimp the Keeper and DivaCup. I am sure you have heard about those.

Are your organic tampons Natracare? I like them, but they don't make them big enough. . .

I saw some super ultras or something like that the last time I was looking for natraCare tampons. But I think those might be new.

yeah, I was looking for regulars, and i kind of had to hunt for them. I *really* like the natracare panty liners, because they'er not made of plastic.

Yeah, I tried Instead once. It did not go well. There's actually a really funny, really disgusting story about how well it did not go. Think literal bloodbath. I don't think those will work for me.

I don't know what kind of tampons they are--I got them at Harvest, though. I only brought two of them to work with me, just to try them out, and the box is at home.

I must say, that while I'm sorry it's causeing you pain, for some reason the redness is kinda sexy. Maybe because it's causeing you pain... ;-)

Evil.

(Note to self: Do *not* sleep over at Kris's before the sunburn heals!)

Have you ever had a nasty sunburn yourself, you dark thing? I am feeling decidedly unsexy right now. Possibly because it would be really, really tricky to comfortably have any sex at the moment...

I've been happy with organic tampons, which is a good thing, because I flat-out refuse to use non-organic ones. I usually use Natracare brand, and they're very good.

I definitely do not envy you the sunburn. Meep.

The idea of being "forced to menstruate" elicits images of an extremely strange but perhaps effective torture chamber.

Glad I could... um... fill your head with disturbing images. I live to serve.

I guess you can think of it as your body shedding all grossness to reveal a new and improved super you?

I guess I'd better drink a lot of water, then!
