I'm really interested in how the season is affecting my moods. I feel so happy right now--it's nice and hot out, and sunny, and there's just a tiny bit of breeze. I also just went to yoga and tomorrow's my birthday and there are a variety of other things contributing to me being happy, but a big part of it is the weather. I just love the summer. I love running out of the air conditioning and having the heat smack me in the face, and I love entering an air conditioned room and feeling suddenly cool. I love walking around in tank tops and feeling the sun and the air on my skin. I love sandals, and I love how dirty my feet are by the end of the day. I even like rain when it's summertime. On the whole I'm a lot happier in summer--content, serene, just all-around pleasant company, that's me. I really have no clue how I can try to carry this feeling over to the winter. I'm going to start taking vitamin D, but a lot of it is just that the climate here doesn't agree with me. Maybe if I start writing again it will help--I get this same contentment when I've been writing well. At least, that's how I remember it. It's been a long time. Don't get me wrong, though--I'm not wasting time worrying about how bad winter's going to be. I am attempting to get a full year's worth of warmth and enjoyment out of this summer. It's definitely worth a shot.
FYI: I will be at Diesel directly after work, staying for only an hour or so, and then meeting Amy for dinner at 6:40. You may plan accordingly.
