supercheesegirl: (buffy happy)
I'm really interested in how the season is affecting my moods. I feel so happy right now--it's nice and hot out, and sunny, and there's just a tiny bit of breeze. I also just went to yoga and tomorrow's my birthday and there are a variety of other things contributing to me being happy, but a big part of it is the weather. I just love the summer. I love running out of the air conditioning and having the heat smack me in the face, and I love entering an air conditioned room and feeling suddenly cool. I love walking around in tank tops and feeling the sun and the air on my skin. I love sandals, and I love how dirty my feet are by the end of the day. I even like rain when it's summertime. On the whole I'm a lot happier in summer--content, serene, just all-around pleasant company, that's me. I really have no clue how I can try to carry this feeling over to the winter. I'm going to start taking vitamin D, but a lot of it is just that the climate here doesn't agree with me. Maybe if I start writing again it will help--I get this same contentment when I've been writing well. At least, that's how I remember it. It's been a long time. Don't get me wrong, though--I'm not wasting time worrying about how bad winter's going to be. I am attempting to get a full year's worth of warmth and enjoyment out of this summer. It's definitely worth a shot.

FYI: I will be at Diesel directly after work, staying for only an hour or so, and then meeting Amy for dinner at 6:40. You may plan accordingly.

That's pretty much the opposite of me. I love winter and tolerate summer. I'm just not cut out for the heat and I feel it. But sometimes I wonder if it's at all related to the time of year we are born. I was born in winter and prefer the winter. You were born in summer and love the summer. hmmm....

I should say, though, one nice thing about our winter is that it's still sunny almost every day. It snows and melts. Winter here is much less harsh than the East Coast. I'm sure that makes a difference.

Yeah, I don't think I would mind winter so much if it wasn't so miserable. I like the fall, and I like normal springtime (unlike this spring here, where it felt like early March for about three months straight). I think next time we make a big move we might go out west, or at least farther south. Like you, Jorn isn't much for heat, but he also has a vested interest in having me be not shivering and depressed for half the year. :)

What season is Jorn's birthday?

He's in July also--the 3rd, so he's a cancer. He's a lot more mellow than I am, and I think he likes his weather the same way. :)

Yep, me too. It's beyond me. But you're happy, so I'm happy. <3 Enjoy!

Are you going to be around later? I have it on my calendar that I was supposed to give you the German Industrial/EBM Mix CD tonight :)

Also I think the song that you were thinking of was Panzer Mench by 'And One' It is played all the time at Manray. It is unfortuanly not on the CD I made but I can push it up to my server for your listening pleasure.

Yay German industrial cd! :) I can pop back into Diesel after dinner, if that's helpful. After maybe 8:00 or so, I'm going to head for home in Central Square. Thanks for your help!
