Today has been a very good day. I got a lot of work done on some projects today. Mail arrived and Olga called me to let me know. Russell showed up with a key to my file cabinet, and said he'd either look for or order metal things to make the hanging folders hang right (I use legal size folders, and they're not fitting properly, and I could fit more files in the drawer if they hung the other way). I am clearly effective at making things happen when I put my mind to it. AND my promotion came through, and everyone was excited for me. I took a walk over to the Box Office to see Amy and/or Heather, and Amy wasn't in but Heather hugged me and jumped up and down and squealed with me. That was just exactly what I needed. Another thing that has been making my day happy is my new undies from Target. I'm glad that the boy-shorts type of undies are getting to be really popular, because they are so comfy. And cute! I bought four new pairs at the SuperTarg the other night: two pairs of Cheshire Cat ones, and two flowered ones. I really really wanted the Cookie Monster and Oscar ones, they were way cute and looked really comfortable, but they only had them in size 5 and size 10. I'm right in the middle, thanks. But I am very pleased with the undies I did buy. I don't know why women haven't been wearing comfy undies like these all along.

Tonight, I am going to walk home, get my posters that I want framed and take them to the framing store in the Porter shopping center next to Gentle Dental, and pick up some cheese at the store because we're all out. Then I'm going to orchestrate a massive clothes-putting-away effort in the bedroom. We have a new dresser and I got pants hangers at the SuperTarg and I even have more shelving as soon as I put it together, so I honestly have no excuse for picking my clothes out of boxes anymore. This needs to be done in a major way. I'd also like to get my computer put together but I don't think that'll happen tonight. I'm going to try to remember to tape the Daily Show for Jorn, too, because we've been staying up late the past two nights to see the Evolution/Schmevolution specials, and Jorn will be out tonight and won't be able to see it.

Jorn called Comcast today to set up the cable/modem. So hopefully by the end of this weekend we'll have the internets at home. [livejournal.com profile] mindymindymindy will be glad to hear that, I know, she's been bugging me about it every night even though I told her it was Jorn's job. I also want to get my digital camera going hardcore soon--I need to figure out things about rechargeable batteries and how one recharges them and also how to connect the thing to the computer. Mindy's been bugging me about that too, and I know everyone wants to see pictures of the new apartment, and I want to take some at the Pirate Faire this weekend even though I'm not dressing up. Wait, I still have Sarah B's corset. But it doesn't look that good on me. Hmm, I'll think about it.

How much does it cost to get posters framed ? Does this include something like glass covering it ?

Depends on the size of the poster. My two posters had very odd proportions so I couldn't use a ready-made frame. To get them custom-framed, with glass and everything, cost $30 for my 13x19 poster and $40 for my 15x21. The guy at the frame store next to Gentle Dental was very nice and helpful.

Excellent, thank you. There's a poster I used to have that I really loved that I always wanted to get framed and had no idea how, and it ended up getting mangled. Have to find another one of it.

If it has "normal" proportions, like 16x20, 18x24, etc, you can find a ready-made frame no problem that will be plenty good and cheaper. But the framing cost for my two posters is pretty reasonable, I think (especially when I consider that I got the posters free to begin with). Good luck tracking it down--although this is a good time of year to be looking for posters, since it's the beginning of the school year and all.

I love wearing awesome and fun underwear. It always makes me feel spunky and bouncy! Mostly I think boy style doesn't look good on me, I think I'm too hippy or something. But I love the boy style on other girls. It's super sexy! rowr!!

And so comfy! Nothing climbing up my butt, yay!

I am also a big fan of the boy shorts. They are way comfy and don't leave panty lines. Congrats on the promo, btw! That retroactive chunk o' change will probably be very nice, too.

And there's nothing climbing up your butt with boy shorts, they stay where they're supposed to!

Thanks! September 30 will be my happy money dance day. :)

Dressing up is fun.

And you just reminded me that I gotta get some shit to hang up on my walls. I think that's the final thing that's keeping my apartment from feeling really "moved in" Problem is, that there's so much stuff I'm into, I don't know what to get. I don't want my walls splattered with movie posters. Maybe some art prints, some B&W's of cool peeps (like Humphrey Bogart), and a few movie posters.

Haha, or I could go like my dad and just get tons of posters from old motorcycle rags. haha. nahhh.

I like having a variety of stuff on my walls, I think that's the way to go. It's amazing how much homier a room can feel when it has something hanging on the walls!
