I had a fantastic weekend with Missi. Friday night we hung around the house and chatted (she loved my new apartment and was very jealous--she and her boyfriend live in a small box in Manhattan). Saturday we slept in way late, then T'ed to Downtown Crossing to shop. We hit H&M, DSW, and Filene's Basement, and I spent a bunch of money but got a lot of good stuff. I <3 my new New Balance sneakers. Then we stopped at Harvard Square for dinner and margaritas at the Border Cafe and it was Teh Yum. We rented Princess Diaries 2 on the way home (I know, I know, but it was the only thing we could agree on, really) and then watched it and ate mint chocolate chip ice cream. Sunday morning, she went to church and I showered and cleaned up a bit, then we went to brunch at Christopher's in Porter Square (again, yummy, and I want to take my parents there next time they visit) and a very attractive man gave me his business card because I was cute and he wants me to call him (I won't, but dang. I am always so amused when that happens). Then back to my place, sat around and chatted for a while until she needed to head out. It was wonderful to see her and it made me really happy.
After Missi left, I ran some errands and had some very frustrating things happen that I don't feel like getting into now (but why, oh why, would the phone book list only the two pet stores that are a 20 minute drive away and not the pet store that is FIVE BLOCKS AWAY??). Later that night I went over to nchanter's house and we talked and talked and it was excellent and made me feel way better about the aforementioned frustrating things. This morning, home from nchanter's at ass o'clock, work, then the dentist. Casey The Dentist confirmed my suspicions about the Tooth That Is Evil and said my best option would be to get a crown on it. He said he felt really bad to recommend that since he was my brand-new dentist. Honestly, my last brand-new dentist recommended not only a crown but also a root canal and seven fillings, so Casey's ahead of the game here. He also said that I need to stop grinding my teeth in my sleep (which the last dentist also said). Do I grind my teeth in my sleep? Next time I grind my teeth while sleeping next to you, shake me or something.
Tonight: Fun *AND* Excitement with Dsnn Brpwn!! Yeeaaahhhh!!!!1!
and
Wednesday: HomeGoods and TV with SuperAmy!
(We won't think about Tomorrow: Maya quiz, because that's not nearly as fun.)

Date: 2005-10-17 09:49 pm (UTC)From:try drinking a cup of relaxing tea before bed every night. I'm actually not kidding, as dumb as that sounds. The bedtime tea with valarian in it means my teeth don't hurt when I wake up.
a night guard would be nasty. constant jaw pain would be nasty too though.
