Phase 1 of my job hunting prep involves taking a lunchtime seminar on Marketing Myself, which in turn required me to read this book. It was actually a very readable, interesting book. Lots of good examples, very conversational, a quick read. I actually really recommend it--it relates well to job interviews and performance reviews and the like, but also just in general, it's good for encouraging you to speak up about your accomplishments without sounding like a jerk. She gives 12 key questions that you should write down the answers to, and then familiarize yourself with those answers so you can speak clearly about yourself and what you've done. I think as an exercise for myself, when I sit down and write out all my responses I will probably post them, so you can get a feel for what the book does and why it's useful. I am probably going to make Jorn read it next.
