supercheesegirl: (misty mad)
The next time I get a pet, I want the kind of pet that I can quickly and easily tell whether or not it's dead.

...I would love to know what inspired this post.

Hi! I'm Gabriel. I found you from the Latest Posts (http://www.livejournal.com/stats/latest.bml) page, and I'm commenting your LiveJournal at random.

My hermit crab. I'm pretty sure he's dying, but when hermit crabs molt they get really sluggish and just need to be left alone for a few days. Lots of people don't know that and so end up throwing out or burying perfectly healthy hermit crabs. But I'm pretty sure he's dying, or maybe even dead already. I'm leaving him alone for a while to make sure.

I'll admit I know nothing about hermit crabs, so I've found your comment very educational—thanks. :-)

Sadly, I don't know much about them either--which could perhaps be why the poor little guy died. :/

[nod] I have the same rule for girlfriends.

-You sleep very still, dear . . .

(I suppose I could just get some infrared goggles, and keep them by the bed . . . )
