books 2006: The Second Mrs. Giaconda, by E.L. Konigsburg

Finished this one yesterday before American Idol. It's a YA novel, and I was kind of disappointed. I guess after The Mixed Up Files, anything that Konigsburg does is going to suffer by comparison. This book was about Leonardo da Vinci, told from the perspective of his free-spirited and wacky apprentice, and it tries to trace the events that (supposedly) led up to the painting of the Mona Lisa. I don't know, just not as good as I was expecting. It's a quick read, but don't go into it looking for another Mixed Up Files.

Well, I don't know how I feel about you watching America's Next Top Model, but it's better then American Idol. I was afraid you'd gone insane...thank god you're ok. I was on my way to save you, I know you'd do the same for me. :)

Check out The View From Saturday and Silent to the Bone as really GOOD books by her. They might beat out Mixed Up Files
