supercheesegirl: (ben folds five)
This morning's walk to work:

'Clothes of Sand', by Calexico,
'Soul to Squeeze', by Red Hot Chili Peppers,
'Alone in Kyoto', from the Lost In Translation soundtrack, and which I swear to God I'd never heard before and which I absolutely loved,
A 30-second biography of Dylan Thomas from my Poetry Speaks collection,
'Tiny Cities of Ashes', by Modest Mouse on Mars - I had forgotten how much I liked this song!

Last night I ripped Jorn's and my entire collection of Ani DiFranco cds. It's not her entire catalogue, but it's a decent-sized chunk. I'm working hard on getting my whole cd collection ripped. I started on the Ben Folds Five stuff this morning (I had been getting by with just the Reinhold Messner album). Good stuff.

Now Missy Elliott is talking about Campbell's Soup in my ear. Hi Missy!!

Ani rocks my socks!! My favorite albums are Dilate, Out of Range, Ani DiFranco, Not a Pretty Girl and To The Teeth. Did you get any of those?

All of the above, as well as Revelling and Reckoning, Living in Clip, Educated Guess, Up Up Up Up Up Up, Little Plastic Castle, and probably something else too. My favoritess are Plastic Castle and Not a Pretty Girl, Jorn's favorites are Dilate and Plastic Castle. My friend Amy loves Revelling/Reckoning, so I'm looking forward to hearing those, too!

Thanks! The shuffle feature has been treating me well today: now I'm listening to David Bowie!
