Last week I was lucky enough to catch the Tilly and the Wall show at TT's, and I've had their music stuck in my head ever since.
Tilly was supposed to go on at 11:15pm, so I arrived a little before 11pm. I was lucky Jorn had bought my ticket for me earlier, because the show was sold out and there was a big crowd of people standing around hoping to get in. The previous band was already off the stage when I got there, so I just shoved my way through the crowd a bit to get a good spot. I was glad I arrived when I did, because pretty soon after that all the people who had been at the bar or out having a cigarette came back in and crowded into the back. I actually ended up with a pretty good view of the left side of the stage (for some reason I'm always off to the left at shows) except for a few random tall dudes who kept getting in my way. I felt kind of bad for the two chicks next to me, who were maybe 5'2" and could hardly see at all. They pissed me off a bit when I first got there because they were trying to hold a sizeable space in front of them so they could stand back a little and see the stage, but dude, there's no doing that at a sold-out show in a club the size of TT's. You know you're short ahead of time, so invest in some platforms or else get there early. But then later on I did feel bad for them because it was really crowded and I doubt they could see much at all.
And it was a surprisingly visual show--or maybe not so surprising, since I showed up knowing they had a tap dancer. I ended up having the best view of her out of all the band members, but at best, my view was like this:

The tap dancer is on the left, singer in the middle, and singer on the right.
I got some good shots of the two girls singing:

And some blurry crazy shots of them:

They had fake flower chains wound around their mic stands, and some fake palm trees in the back. There was a keyboard guy on the far right, way too far away for me to ever get a decent picture, and a guitar guy on the far left. He also sang, and he was very blurry:
I definitely got the most pictures of the tap dancer, since I had the best view of her. She looked like she was having such a great time, and she was doing all the tap dancer arm stuff that they do and everything. Also she was super cute.

You can see the palm tree pretty well here.

She was wearing leopard print arm warmers, probably to show off her arm-swinging action I would think, since it was pretty warm in there.
I got some kind of interesting shots of her dancing, too:

I think those last two are my favorites.
I would have bought a t-shirt, but they only had normal shirts instead of girly-sized ones, and I have eight million normal t-shirts I never wear because they're all too tight around my hips, so I just bought the new cd instead. And, score for me, one of the tracks got cut off two minutes early in the version I downloaded, so it was good I bought the cd so I could re-rip it. Overall it was a pretty darn awesome show.
