Well, I'm back. Bermuda was beautiful. Really, really beautiful. Somehow I managed to keep from getting sunburned until the very last day, which was a big accomplishment. Hopefully the nasty sunburn will fade soon. Some parts of me are actually tan!
I got all the pictures posted to snapfish. If you didn't receive the snapfish invite to view the pictures, and you want to see them, let me know. (They're mostly of my parents and I being really goofy.) There's a couple on my myspace, too. Rox in a bikini, ooh baby. Don't get all excited, I gained at least five pounds on this trip with all the food and all the laziness. But anyway, there are pictures to be seen if you want to see them.
I read a lot of books and had some weird dreams on this vacation, all of which are written out in my paper journal. I'll post those backdated some time soon.
My mom got a summons for jury duty in the mail today. She has never, ever had to do jury duty before, so she is so incredibly excited. She did a happy flailing dance all over the living room.
Tomorrow: Joanna's baby shower, possibly seeing Chris Campbell
Monday: up before the sun to fly to Nashville, but hopefully I'll be able to post periodically, if not check the f-list.

Date: 2006-07-17 01:38 am (UTC)From:At least, that's been my experience. I know plenty of people my age (myself, my sister, my boyfriend, etc) who have been called. My mother has many friends who would love to serve & have never been called.
My boyfriend is registered at school in Amherst. His family was living in Chicago at the time, then they moved to Ithaca, NY and now they're living in Rochester MN. So when he got called to go in MA, he decided to just not go - they won't ever find him because any forwarded mail would take weeks to get to him. He's house-sitting in suburban Boston right now, anyway.
