you know, this ebay thing is really just too easy. i've won three auctions. i've spent almost $30. I opened a PayPal account. WDP, me?

PayPal is an asshole, though, because right now they're supposedly offering a $5 bonus to new accounts. but when you get all excited and click on the link to find out what you have to do, you'll see that you get the $5 bonus by not only activating your account and confirming your checking account, etc, but you also have to transfer $250 to your PayPal account AND start a money market fund or something. hello, i'm just here to pay for ebay shit. it's five freakin' bucks, how many hoops do i have to jump through to get it? i don't think i even HAVE $250 to transfer to the PayPal account, let alone start a money market fund. i'm in a position where $5 makes a lot of difference, but noooooooo, i cannot get $5. not fair.

the solution, of course, is to stop using ebay. but i've won three auctions, and it was very exciting, and i've gotten the first positive feedback. only five more positive feedbacks and i get a little star next to my name.

(and just so you know, i'm not entirely new to the ebay thing--i've had an account for a while, i just don't have money and therefore rarely go looking for shit to buy. but now it's christmastime. sheesh.)

weird. they used to give out 5 bucks just for signing up in the first place. but that was back when they were trying to get people to know they even existed, I guess. SUXXOR!
