Wow, I just saw the neatest show on the Discovery channel. It was about the eruption of Krakatoa in the 1880s. The show told the story from the perspective of several sets of survivors whose accounts of the eruption became famous: a ship's captain, a Dutch officer's wife, a scientist. I highly recommend watching this at some point--usually some show about a volcano wouldn't be that interesting to me, but with this one, there was a lot of personal interest in the stories of these people, and it was really well acted. Add this to your TiVo, yo.

(And lest you think I was slacking off, well, I was eating my lunch, running the dishwasher, and cleaning the bathroom during the commercials.)

Man, there were like 23424 different ways to die in this thing! And it was on an island 25 miles away from where anyone lived! Really awesome show.

Dude! I was watching that too! At least out of the corner of my eye while working on 2 different computers & doing the dishes. :) It was really interesting. I love disaster shows. Fiction or Non. I plan on watching "Firestorm: Last Stand at Yellowstone" tonight on A&E. hehehe
