so i'm listening to music. ON MY NEW STEREO. and this makes me so very happy. we put cds in it, and at first it ignored the cd in the #1 spot, but then it recognized all the others, and when we clicked it around again it realized there was a cd in the #1 spot after all, and it played it. then after cd #1 was over, it moved right on to cd #2. i am so very glad.

and i ate my leftover pasta from our ruby tuesday's dinner last night, and it was fucking good pasta, even reheated. i totally cannot cook. i can make pretty decent chicken, but that's just due to me dumping salad dressing over the chicken and hoping the flavor seeps in. which it does, but i think i'm just lucky. i feel like cooking could be easy once i get a feel for things like basil; i feel like if i could just figure out the seasoning thing, i'd be all set with the cooking.

of course, the things i like best when i eat out are the things drenched in butter or honey mustard or something. like the honey mustard chicken at the outback steakhouse - it's absolutely drenched in honey mustard and mushrooms and cheese and bacon, and it's pretty much the savoriest ymmuyest thing i can think of. but i really don't know if i could eat food that good all the time, you know? because after a while it wouldn't taste as good anymore. you need things like lucky charms and kraft mac & cheese to balance things out.

so what should i bring to the pot luck dinner on wednesday night? all ideas and recipes will be accepted and considered.
