Today's Scrabble game: Tariq totally had the luck today. He got good letters, and then used them really well--he used three of the triple-letter blocks, and kept coming up with interesting layered words. He broke 200 points; it was pretty impressive. My best word was QUOTE vertically on the right center triple-letter (42 points), but Tariq subverted that with HARD horizontally to make QUOTED and AX off the A. Later on he placed BEAST vertically on the top center triple-letter, with the S next to WORD to get SWORD. That was the move that won him the game. Lou was very bitter--he hasn't been playing with us lately, and today we finally talked him into coming back and then Tariq just conquers us all. Oh well. My total score: 115.
