after work today

Another normal typical day at my job, blah blah blah. After work I needed to hit the ATM, so I went to the bank on the corner of my street, and then I thought I'd go for a walk in my new neighborhood. I like my new neighborhood. There are interesting little shops and places to eat. I picked up a map from the visitors' association, and a menu from one of the two pizza places I found. I also picked up two bottles of wine. My plan for Valentine's Day is to drink wine and eat truffles and be happy to be alone. I think it is a good plan. I am content with this plan. I'm going to try to do some yoga now.

hey girl, valentine's day is Totally overrated. what i'm looking forward to is 1)giving my students the chocolate chip cookies i made for them and 2) playing a silly valentine's day game with them. it's about love for friends--at least i've always tried to make it about that. all that schmaltzy romantic stuff is way to cheesy and hallmark really has stolen all the romance out of this day(see postsecret.com). so, yeah. i think chocolate truffles is THE way to go. i'll be sending you some love and if they wouldn't get all stale, some cookies too. :) have fun!
