Today it was just Karen and I for Scrabble. Kari was leaving early, I haven't seen Tariq all week (but we know the mailroom's been shortstaffed, so maybe he's sick or really busy), and Christine and Lou didn't play. I had a really terrific game, further evidence for my theory that I play better in a two-person game than in a multi-player game. I had some good words, and some excellent use of the double and triple spaces on the board, for a final score of 287. I'm pretty pleased with myself, especially since I played consistently better than I usually do.
My words and their points, just for posterity (because it really was a good game):
19 EATERY
6 TUIL(L)E (not many points, but such a great word I couldn't resist)
26 JEEP
18 GIMP
33 ZAG
22 SOUTH / AH
27 VAIN / NO
20 BASK
10 OGRE
20 WOWS
17 RUE / WADE
30 VENTED (I just added the ED to the already-existing VENT, and the D landed on a triple-word for extra awesomeness)
14 LIFE
21 MOON
6 DIP
