Nonfiction, full title: Dress Codes: Of Three Girlhoods--My Mother's, My Father's, and Mine. Noelle's father came out to her as a cross-dresser when she was 16, and eventually decided to live as woman, eventually getting surgery. Noelle tells the story of her father's childhood, as well as her mother's and her own; she describes how her father changed not just gender, but really became an entirely different person. Their relationship became much closer during and after the transition. A really interesting book, and very well written and honest. Recommended.
