Yesterday's Scrabble game: Tariq and Christine and I, and I dragged Jean along too. The art department folks didn't play. Tariq rocked the game by placing PASTIES on his first or second turn, using all his letters and getting the 50-point bonus. Very impressive use of pasties. My best move was placing the Q on a triple-letter block and forming words both vertically (QI) and horizontally (QUIN) so I got the triple-Q points twice, for a total score of 66. I more than doubled my score with that move. Tariq still won, even though Christine went out first and stuck poor Jean with the Z. My final score was 157; Christine's was maybe 129, and Tariq's was 184 I think. Can't remember Jean's score. It was a fun game. I'm sad I won't get to play next week.
