so anyway, today was a good day. yoga was awesome--i was able to do for the first time a move my teacher calls an upward bow (bow like "with an arrow", not like "take a bow"). it's where you're lying on your back on the floor and arch your hips up till only your feet and hands are on the floor, like a bridge. before today, i'd only been able to do it with assistance (ie, my teacher actually pulling my hips high into the air), but today i did it all by myself. and collapsed about 10 seconds later, but i still did it, and i'll get better. maybe someday i will be able to do a headstand.
also, today i typed up a few poems from my notebook, and they're really odd and different for me, but i really like them a lot. so that was exciting.
i also got to go to an advisor meeting at CASA this morning--even though i'm technically an advisor, i've never gotten to go to a meeting before, since usually either i need to sit at the front desk or else they have them on thursday afternoons when i'm not there. so it was cool to actually be at a meeting. i really do like working there.
tonight--i should call david bowen and do something about posters with him. i want to call my mom, and also to maybe call janel (she called on sunday--MORE new additions to the zentz/allen family tree, for those of you who know what that means). not like i'll ever meet them, probably--but it's nice to know. tonight i also want to read, either my edna st.vincent millay biography (Savage Beauty, by Nancy Milford--incredibly good!) or else read some in the saint augie biography i got from the library. research is always good, even if i'm not going to read those poems at my thesis reading (which somehow is next week...).
