...could have been much better. I consistently had something like OOIIAED in my hand. It was pretty horrible.

Today's players: Kristina, Tariq, Karen, Karen's daughter Monica (working here in the art department for the summer), me.

My words:
WAN (12 points)
(turn skipped to trade letters; unfortunately, it didn't get much better)
VIO(L)A / AW (18 points)
LOPED (16 points)
STONER / SUE (13 points)
APE (15 points)
XI (9 points)

Total score: 83.
Tariq's total score: 195.

No major point-scoring words, because I didn't get any of the big points letters. Still, I think a score of 83 is quite respectable considering I skipped a turn.

I love reading your Scrabble recaps. They make me feel like I'm a part of your day.

I wish I had someone to play Scrabble with. No one ever wants to play with me. ...not that I'm any good or anything. :P

Aw, you're totally part of my day!

Scrabble is totally all about the practice, I can say from experience! I'm a much better Scrabbler now than I was a year ago, and a year ago, I had no idea that XI or QI were words. I'm all about frequent dictionary use. :)

I can tell! I have my own board and official Scrabble dictionary but I'm very out of practice. :P I'm sure Spike will play with me. He'll love all the little letter pieces! *giggle*
