journal rejections

I highly recommend submitting work to Barrelhouse and RHINO. Less than two months' turnaround time on my rejections! Quite impressive. Not that I'm pleased or anything, considering that I was feeling a bit fragile in the writing department and rejections don't help much, but still. Better to get it over with faster, since it's inevitably on the way.

I've gotten a rejection or two from RHINO myself. I just got a rejection yesterday from Typo, who also had a very quick turnaround time.

The Pedestal Magazine (http://www.thepedestalmagazine.com/submit1.asp)and MiPOesias (http://www.mipoesias.com/submit.htm)also have had quick turnaround times for me in the past (1 to 2 months). Both take email submissions.

Rejections suck. There's no getting around that. But the best thing you can do is just submit somewhere else as soon as something comes back.
