today's mail!

I had excellent mail waiting for me when I got home from work today!

1. I had a package from grass_stained! She sent me her copy of Stardust so I can read it before the movie comes out (because I lent my copy to a coworker and don't want to be rude and ask for it back). AND she sent me a very beautiful, soft, lovely scarf she knitted for me! I am so impressed! Thank you so much!

2. I had a package from amazonsun as well! She sent me a very sweet and unexpected birthday present! Which I couldn't help but open right away instead of waiting for my birthday on Friday, because I am impatient like that. She sent me a set of little list-making notepads that go on the fridge with magnets--very appropriate because we've been talking constantly about list-making and being organized lately!--and a sweet "friendship" bookmark. Thanks so much for thinking of me!

Also, I had a very sweet postcard from F, and a $60 rebate check from Bausch and Lomb for my contacts. Woot! Very exciting!

I have not yet received the package that F told me to expect, but I'm sure it will get here tomorrow or Friday. It's nice to have mail to look forward to, too!

OMG.....grass_stained makes the best scarves ever! She's a big hit with all my friends that have only even petted my scarf from her! HEE!

And I expect you to wear that scrabble barrette while reading a book with that bookmark on the side. And then writing a note about how cool I am on one of your note pads! HA!

Are you kidding? I hope I don't get to use it for months and months! :) Although it is such a lovely scarf that the thought of nasty winter is a little less intimidating. :)
