I loved this book. Loved this book. Liz Gilbert and I would absolutely be friends. I related to so many of her problems and joys; so many of the things she described, I've experienced in some way too. This book makes me want to move to Italy and India and Indonesia, because if it worked for Liz Gilbert it's bound to work for me too! Except that I'm really doing pretty okay right where I am.
Anyway, this was a fabulous book. Nonfiction. After going through a wrenching divorce and a subsequent soul-sucking romantic relationship, Liz was pretty fucked up. Her publisher agreed to pay for her year of travel for the book she would write about it. She spent four months each in three different countries: Italy, for pleasure; India, for devotion and prayer; and Indonesia, for balance. It must have been one heck of a year. I feel really inspired. I really loved this book.

This is the 81st book I've read this year. 81 books divided by seven months means I am averaging 11.57 books per month. I totally rock.

Also, today my package of books from Better World Books arrived. After finally slicing it open, I looked at my six new-to-me pretty books. Two are hardbacks! They are all pretty! And they're all books I really, really wanted. I chirped, "My books my books my books!" and bounced around. I felt very happy. I can't wait to read them all.
