This was a good one! Mrs. Pollifax finds (here at home in the US!) a young woman hiding in the storage closet in her house. The girl is afraid because bad men are following her. Mrs. Pollifax embarks on an adventure that has her hiding out in a traveling carnival, discovering a coup to take over an African nation, and uncovering the secret truth behind a kidnapping plot. Mrs. Pollifax isn't the one to put all this together--Carstairs actually comes out from behind his desk for once--but it's the fortuitous involvement of Mrs. Pollifax that, as always, brings about the solution of the mystery.
