There were six of us for Scrabble today, so we split into two games: Tariq, Kari, and Jean, and Angela, Kristina, and me. I felt a little bad, because Angela's kind of new to the Scrabble group, and I really kicked ass, but oh well. I didn't gloat or anything.
Today's words:
20 points - MARE / EM
29 points - YEARNS / HOSTS
45 points - ZE(R)OED
21 points - FAX
78 points - DIRT(I)ED / DE / ID (on a triple word, and using all my letters for the bonus)
17 points - JO
16 points - OVAL/LO
27 points - PARTED
18 points - YAW
-5
256 points total
I definitely got some really good letters and was able to play some really good words. I tried not to conquer too badly--I didn't want to take advantage--I definitely could have done more with the X and the J than I did. But I also didn't "play down" to the other girls, either; I played the best words I could, I just didn't focus super-hard on points or blocking the triple words, like I would in a game with Tariq. So I think it was a good game. It was a fun game, anyway.
