books 2007: Dragon's Bait, by Vivian Vande Velde

Got this at the library last night, started it on the train this morning, finished it up at my desk. A very quick YA read, and fun. But much like with the other Vande Velde book I read, I was left wanting a sequel. Maybe it went a little too fast. Maybe I skimmed too much. But overall, pretty standard YA fantasy in which a young woman in trouble encounters a dragon who defies dragonish stereotype and adventures ensue.

Oh, man, that was one of my first fantasy books. It fueled so many amazing day dreams. I love Velde so, so much! (Companion of the Night is pretty good, too).
