my Sunday afternoon

Today, I:

- slept in till almost noon (!)
- decorated the tree
- wrapped all the gifts (except one that isn't finished yet, one that isn't here yet, and one that I still have to buy)
- watched "Santa Claus is Coming to Town", "The Little Drummer Boy", "Jack Frost", "Conan the Destroyer", "Conan the Barbarian" (yes, out of order), and "Kingdom of Heaven"
- observed once again that Orlando Bloom is indeed a fine example of manhood, and Conan movies really, truly are filled with holiday spirit (at least for me)
- wrote out 81 holiday cards
- noted that I need to buy around 15 more stamps and I think two 2-cent stamps

To sum up, I sat in front of the TV literally all day long. I didn't shower, brush my teeth (although I'm going to go do that now), or get dressed. I didn't do any of the sensible apartment-type things like washing dishes, doing laundry, or sweeping, all of which need to be done. But I got a ton of Christmasy things done, and it really took me all damn day. Go me.

Jesus Christ, 81 holiday cards?! Now I feel the same low-grade shame that Martha Stewart inspires in me.

I have not done holiday cards this year. Or last year. In fact, I might not have done them since 2003. Wow, I suck.

But congratulations on getting everything else done! You're awesome.
