Thoughts on this season of American Idol:
Boys:
My favorites are: David Cook, Bandana Rocker Guy, and Dreadlock Cutie. I can't make up my mind about Aussie Rocker Guy--I really want to like him but there's something that just puts me off. I also really like Mr. Luke Cheekbones, but that doesn't have a whole lot to do with his voice. I hope it makes it another few weeks just so America can appreciate how pretty he is.
The bad: Danny Noriega is a whiny little gay boy brat. Go home. Cheesy Chikezie Eze looked like he belonged on Lawrence Welk, with that orange suit and big smile. I'm torn about him, though, because first of all he seems like a really nice guy, and secondly he's the only splash of color in the male top 12. Oh, and I hate Jason Yeager. Bland, bland, bland.
The girls:
Amanda is pretty awesome. I also like Brooke. The rest of them can pretty much shove it. I feel like half the girls are interchangeable bland blondes this season. Yuck. Ramiele is okay, but I didn't love her tonight. Asia'h is all right, but I hate the way she spells her name. Carly has the biggest pair of front teeth I have ever seen. Seriously, file those suckers down before we have to stare down your open maw again, woman. And that chick who sold her beloved horse to go to the audition? She doesn't deserve to win. She doesn't deserve to own a fish, let alone a horse. And she's an interchangeable bland blonde, too. Go home and cry about what a bad person you are.
Overall, I think it's a year for the guys. Last year the girls were all great and the boys were blah, and this year it's the opposite. I can barely remember most of the girls, but the boys I actually care about one way or another.
