books 2008: Shade's Children, by Garth Nix

Got this from the library today, because I was excited to find another Nix book, since I loved his Abhorsen series so much. This was entirely different and I didn't love it but I got sucked in and sat around all afternoon reading it, such that I didn't go to the gym and by the time I finished the book and went to the gym it was 8:00 and they were closing for the night. Which is really stupid of me and I wish I hadn't picked up this book at all today or maybe ever.

I don't like books about dystopias. They don't make me happy, even when they somehow have a happy ending. Therefore I will not read anymore dystopic books.
