OMFG I can't even talk about it

Scattered thoughts:

Des and Pen!

WTF Sun and Widmore?

The Wheel of Pain!! Ben ends up in Antarctica?

Jin = so not dead

Where did the raft end up? Did Cute Science Daniel make it back to the island?

Who else is still on the island, exactly? Sawyer, Juliet, Locke and Ageless Richard and The Others, I-See-Dead-People Miles, Freaky Redhead, and Rose and Bernard? Who else? All the extra plane crash people were on the freighter when it blew, right?

I don't even remember what else needs to be talked about.
omg!! ageless richard is an awesome name for that guy.

also, let's talk about a guy named john locke coming back and calling himself jeremy bentham? i totally had to wikipedia bentham-the name sounded so familiar. i think there are other peeps on your friends list that could speak to this much better than me.

i hope cute science daniel is okay. sun and widmore freaks me out, cause i think jack is the other man she holds responsible for jin's "death". (ps please don't let jin be dead).

totally got teary at des and pen! love them so much!

also what's with charlotte wanting to know where she was born? more questions...augh!!
Maybe Sun contacted Widmore because she wants to go back to the island? Because she thinks Jin might still be alive and she wants to find him? That's what I was thinking of.

I thought at first Sun blamed Widmore for Jin's death (it was his freighter), but then Jack said that Sun blamed him. I thought Sun was trying to team up with Widmore to find Ben.

I thought Jeremy Bentham = Ben for awhile. Well, until he showed up at the funeral home. I'm glad we actually found out who was in the coffin. I was sure the season would end with Jack looking in but with us not able to see anything.

Okay, I think on the island there's Locke, the Others, Juliet, Charlotte, Miles, Rose and Bernard (although we haven't seen them much), SAWYER!, and maybe some random extras. No one recognizable was on the raft except for Daniel--I don't know what happened to that.

The Penny and Desmond reunion was so sweet!

I'm pretty sure Jin is dead, but that doesn't mean we won't see him again.

Didn't Jack take responsibility for putting Jin and Sayid on the helicopter that took them to the freighter? We don't know who else Sun blames (the actress has said her character blames two people for Jin's death) but we do know Jack readily takes responsibility for everything that happens . . . pretty much anywhere.

True, Jack does blame himself for everything, so it could be that.

In the episode before the finale, Sun told her father she blamed him and one other person for Jin's death--her father because he was the reason Jin was on the plane in the first place. The second person could be Widmore for sending the freighter, Ben for being Ben and because maybe she finds out he killed Keamy which activated the bomb, Jack because he was the leader, Michael because he didn't send Jin up sooner, Kate because she didn't run in to get him, or Frank for not waiting or going back.

My big question now is--who's taking care of Vincent?

Vincent, being a wise, uncomplicated soul is probably with Richard where he will also stay eternally young and have endless belly rubs and naps in the sun.

My new theory is that we'll find out that the con man isn't actually Locke's dad; somehow, it was Richard this whole time. Which would explain why Locke would change his name, and would explain the attention of Richard during Locke's flashback ep, and would give a weird poignancy to the pep talk Richard gave Locke when Locke couldn't kill his "dad" in front of all the Others.

But I kind of think Richard's last name isn't Bentham, so it probably won't come out this way.

I watched the explodey part through my fingers, and I'm going to keep telling myself that Jin isn't dead... maybe he jumped really far and didn't get hit by flaming freighter bits and was able to swim to the island before it moved. Um, yes, I will keep telling myself this.

Des & Pen was the most wonderful, happy thing ever. And I really hope when Ben says that they need to bring everyone back, they don't mean they're going to take Des away again (unless Penny goes with them and they use her wealth and resources to build a resort/day spa on the island).

I'm thinking that Daniel's rescue raft may have been close enough to the island to have been sucked up in the magical vortex and was moved along with the island. Otherwise, I feel like someone might have found that raft as well and there would have been more than 6 Oceanic survivors.

Crazy. Absolutely crazy.

Yes, the whole two hours was worth Des and Pen! Does not mean I did not enjoy the rest of it, but that was the best of it all!

I literally stood up and cheered when they reunited. :)

des and pen!!!!!!! fuck yes!

i personally think it is widmore she blames, and she's getting close so to him to take him out.

antarctica? he ends up in the desert and takes out those two guys on camels! same jacket, same arm wound.

yeah, i don't think jin is dead either, but look at all that destruction! i don't know how he could have possibly survived.

someone mentioned they thought daniel may have been close enough to the island to get carried away with it. but i thought i remembered a shot of them still heading to the freighter after the island disappeared.

and let's not forget claire and christian sheppard are still on the island, too.

hurley playing chess with mr. eko and winning was pretty awesome, too.

so that very first scene of season 4 (last of season 3) was actually three years in the future? that made much more sense after the finale. now there's a nice, neat wrap up of the past four seasons, with a slingshot into the last two seasons. this is going to be awesome. OHFUCKWEHAVETOWAITEIGHTMONTHS!!!!!!

So in the most basic form what we have is a place where even when you are dead you can still visit with your friends and make your wishes known.

Then even if Jin is dead he is not gone. No one on this island is ever gone (unless they are the lead in a super successful series and even then they can make guest appearances).

I do like the turn Sun is taking. Given time I've a suspicion in her own way she could be more lethal than Sayid.

i still think boone and the couple that was buried alive, and hell, the rest of them are all still alive somewhere. the only one who's actually dead is the air balloon pilot whose skeleton they found. srsly, how many times did they kill that crazy russian?

yeah, sun is a total badass off the island. i'm scared of her now.

I forgot to mention how I laughed at the Wheel of Pain comment! Perfect!
