Hey, did I lend somebody my copy of Bandits on DVD? I really love that movie and I want it back.

WTF is up with me losing my favorite movies and video games? I still can't find my copy of Mario Kart Double Dash, either. It's going to cost me $40 to to replace that, even a used copy. So frustrating. I think that I can't lend out my media anymore. Books are one thing, because I have tons of books and if a book I love goes out into the world and doesn't come back, I'm okay with that. I have multiple copies of my favorite books for that reason. But I only buy DVDs and video games when I love them and want to keep them forever and ever. So it's upsetting to go look for a DVD and not find it. Meh. :/

::edit:: OK, I can get MKDD for $30 new on amazon. Still!! Argh! But in awesomer news, did you know that there are sellers on amazon with used Twin Peaks season 1 for around $20? That's awesome. I want that. In a serious wanting way.

I do not loan out anything I want back. I'm kind of weird about it, actually, but I spent so many years dirt poor and didn't get things back that I loaned and I had no money to replace them. I will loan to certain people that I know really, really well. Not because I "trust" them so much as I know it won't get in the way of our friendship if I don't get it back. And I'm getting better about loaning stuff out now that I'm not totally poor- they are just possessions after all- but yeah, when it's something I love and can't afford to replace well.... I'm like, hey, come over and we'll watch/use it together at my house!

I watched the whole thing when it was on originally. I was maybe 12. My entire world view changed. I really like cherry pie.

But I haven't seen it since I was a kid, so I really want the DVDs!!
