so i think i have a mild fruit allergy. when i eat fruit, my mouth gets all itchy and sometimes swollen. if the fruit is past ripe, it's worse--once even my eyes swelled up after eating a peach. yesterday i ate a bunch of cherries with lunch and my lower lip was swollen all afternoon. wonder what i can do about this? considering i really like fruit.

rhett's cats are really cute. i'm enjoying spending time with them this week. (oh, and babe, elan agreed to stop by and feed them on saturday when jorn and i are in atlanta.)

speaking of which, we're going to atlanta for the weekend! i'm really excited. we'll get to visit danyell, eat at fun restaurants maybe, go to the coca-cola factory (!), be naked in a hot tub, and lots of other things. yay.

work is a pain in the neck right now--there's all this stuff that needs to get done, and the online system that i use to do it is absolutely inaccessible till tomorrow. in the interim, i can obsessively check the fax error system, and more and more accounts will pile up that need to be created or changed that i can't do till at least tomorrow. woo.

i've been reading the Wheel of Time chapter summaries on wotmania and on another site that i found on their link page that's a WoT encyclopedia. i'm halfway through the chapter summaries of the 6th book, and i'm taking notes so that i can reference them. i'm excited about reading book 11.

things to do:

-call my mom tonight
-do one more load of laundry maybe before we leave for atlanta
-go grocery shopping
-get GC for kari/josh; mail with a copy of my thesis
-send the box to mom & dad
-call kathleen RE advice about Chakras and haircuts; make an appointment
-call to move the moving van reservation
-call to cancel the credit protection on my citi account
-draino the bathroom sink again get MORE draino
-visit danyell!

i met someone who had weird reactions to all different kinds of foods. i dont know if she experienced swelling from fruits like you. but she said she put her fruit in the microwave before she ate it. it sounds gross. but i guess it wasnt that bad. was better for her than not eating any fruit at all...i dont know how long she cooked it though. maybe 30 seconds, a minute?

I get that too! Especially when I eat apples, my mouth gets all itchy. I've been thinking for the longest time that I might be slightly allergic to some fruits.... but only raw. So maybe that microwaving thing makes some sense.
