books 2009: Dead Until Dark (Sookie Stackhouse #1), by Charlaine Harris

My mom got me a boxed set of the Sookie Stackhouse books for my birthday. I whipped through the first one in less than 24 hours. So much fun! I am entertained. I'm also halfway through the second one already. Hooray for a fun new series!

Have you watched True Blood? I can't stand the series because of the horrible acting, but I bet the books are better.

I haven't watched the show, but I've actually heard that it's good. I want to give it a try. I'm really liking the books a lot.

I whipped through the first four books, and then needed a break, but they were wicked fun and I intend to go back to the series and finish it at some point. Also, I recommend the show - it's not High Art but it's just as much fun as the books!
