I've been reading a lot of poetry at night before bed lately. It just takes me a while to work through a whole book that way.
This book was written by one of my first poetry teachers, who taught my intro poetry workshop. I ran into her at AWP in 2004 and she signed it for me. (She also asked about Sarah Farbo, because everyone who ever knew Sarah Farbo remembers her fondly.)
This was a good book. There were some really stunning lines. Some poems really got me, really drew me in, and some did not do so. Some of the poems I read over several times, because the language was lovely and because I wanted to understand them better. (Some of the poems I read over several times because I was sleepy, but most were in the former category.)
Some of the poems I loved: Night Music, Overnight, Envy, The Pond, The End of the Gulf War, Inverno, Tuesday
