My company was on summer hours for the whole summer: we could come in early or stay late, and then take a half day on Fridays. Summer hours ended with Labor Day.
Instead of sleeping in an extra 45 minutes (usually my favorite thing about the end of summer), today I got up at 6:35 like usual, had breakfast with F, and then did yoga for half an hour. This felt like an absolutely insane thing to do. I gave up extra sleep! After yoga, I had plenty of time to get showered and dressed and catch the train to be at work by 9:00.
The yoga practice was nice. I did sun salutations for the first time in at least a month. I only did two sun salutations, though, and made sure to be really gentle on the wrist, and I was careful not to put pressure on it in the rest of the practice. I'm wearing the wrist brace all day today, just in case. It didn't hurt at all, it just felt a little fragile. If it continues not-hurting, I'll try again and do a little more in a few days. Other than that, I did some normal standing work, and a few basic gentle seated poses, and some crunches.
When I got to work, I was half asleep. If I keep to this early-morning pattern, hopefully that will correct itself. If not, well, it'll be cool enough for tea drinking in the morning soon enough.
Tomorrow morning: perhaps jogging!
